Utility Shutdown |
This app was designed to proactively manage utility shutdowns or outages to minimize operational impacts. All utility or building system shutdowns or outages are either planned, or an emergency. Utility shutdowns are required for the purposes of construction, renovation, isolation, maintenance, replacement, or repairs to existing systems, subsystems.
The app is designed to accelerate restoration of service steps for both planned and emergency shutdowns.

The app simplifies the preparation of a request for authorization of a shut down.
The app leverages Kahua workflow to accelerate the communication, site assessment, authorization and notification process.
The app contains features that standardize the process of recording, time stamping and documenting all details:
The app workflow makes it easy to communicate with others (responsible parties for campus, facility, project or area are preloaded) for appropriate action (i.e., inspection, authorization, notification).
In seconds, the right person has received the request and can evaluate the situation by reviewing the photo images and the request form, approve or reject and upon selecting "Submit" the request moves to the next person in the step chain.
The app can also capture additional notes, comments and communication that occur through the life of the request to conclusion. The app provides complete time stamped documentation and the step-by-step history of each shutdown request.
